Genetics Research

Moving Beyond Hope Toward Alzheimer’s Prevention and a Cure

Hope For a Cure For ALZ is advancing genetics research focused on the prevention and cure of Alzheimer’s disease.

Our research centers on people who share a specific set of identified, unique genetic markers. By studying the characteristics that distinguish this group from the general population, we aim to uncover insights that may lead to earlier detection, new therapeutic targets, and future approaches to preventing or curing Alzheimer’s disease.

We are seeking $100,000 to fund Phase I of this initiative—the foundational study that will make future research, clinical trials, in-depth analysis, and grant applications possible.

The Case for Phase I

Why This Research Matters

Alzheimer’s disease is complex and may have multiple contributing causes. Our work focuses specifically on genetics and on a control group whose unique attributes may offer important clues.

The Phase I study could:

  • Reveal potential targets for therapeutic intervention.
  • Identify genes or proteins that may serve as biomarkers for earlier detection.
  • Point toward novel drug targets for Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Generate insights relevant to neuroscience, cognitive science, and public health.
  • Produce the data needed to pursue Phase II research, clinical trials, white papers, and NIH or other grant funding.

Approved video assets, including the Alex Trebek video, are not published yet. They will appear here once usage rights are confirmed.

Ready for the Next Step

Years of preparation have positioned Hope For a Cure For ALZ to begin a focused fundraising effort for Phase I. The research direction has been established, and the organization is building the relationships and resources needed to move the initiative forward.
